Reverse description Hammered reverse field bearing a two-line Persian inscription in bold relief, reading 'Bahadur / Sultan', epithets applied to the ruling chief of Kutch. The lettering is deeply struck and occupies the majority of the flan, executed in the same Gujarati-influenced Persian calligraphic style as the obverse. The irregular coin flan and characteristic die-sink marks are consistent with hand-struck copper coinage produced at the Bhuj mint during the late eighteenth to early nineteenth century.
