Nawanagar's copper coinage of the late 19th century was struck under Jaswant Singh, who ruled the small Kathiawar state from 1895 until its administration was increasingly absorbed into British Gujarat Agency oversight. The dhinglo denomination was purely local in circulation, accepted within the bazaars of Nawanagar but functionally irrelevant beyond the state's borders. KM#26 represents one of the final autonomous copper issues before British indirect control rendered local fractional coinage redundant.
