| Obverse description | Central field features a plain cross pattée with flared arms, struck in low relief on a slightly irregular flan. The cross is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, beyond which runs the peripheral Latin legend. The design follows the traditional denier tournois type, with the cross as the principal motif occupying the full diameter of the inner circle. The flan shows characteristic hammered irregularity with some weakness at the edges. |
