Obverse description Vertically divided shield in the central field, with the Giustiniani arms — an eagle displayed over a castle — occupying the dexter half, and a stylized Tournois castle on the sinister half, in the tradition of the French denier tournois type. The podestà's initials appear in the exergue below the shield. The entire central device is enclosed within a plain inner circle, with the legend arranged in the surrounding outer field.
