Reverse description The reverse depicts the enthroned Madonna, the Patrona Hungariae, shown facing, crowned and robed in flowing drapery, holding the Christ Child on her left arm while supporting a sceptre or orb in her right hand. The mint master's initials C-P appear flanking the figure in the field to either side. A beaded border frames the design, with the surrounding Latin legend reading PATRONA VNGRIE, invoking the Virgin as Patroness of Hungary.
