Reverse description A floriated or bifurcated-tipped cross occupying the central field, with a small square enclosing a central pellet at the crossing point, all contained within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding Latin legend ✠ · S · SAVINVS · invokes Saint Savinus, the patron saint of Fermo. The lettering is executed in an uncial hand typical of late medieval central Italian civic coinage, consistent with hammered billon production of the period.
