Obverse description Central field bears the crowned imperial monogram of Napoleon I — a large Gothic letter 'N' surmounted by an ornate imperial crown, flanked on either side by decorative scrollwork or serpentine flourishes. The entire central device is encircled by a wreath of oak branches tied at the base, with a further oak spray arching over the crown at the top. The border is composed of a continuous ring of raised beads. The design is bold and emblematic, characteristic of the First Empire's neoclassical coinage style.

Reverse description The denomination and date are inscribed in three lines across the central field within a wreath of oak branches tied at the base with a ribbon bow: 'UN' on the first line, 'DÉCIME.' on the second, '1815.' on the third, and the mint mark 'BB' (Strasbourg) below. The wreath is surmounted by a small oak spray at the apex. The border is composed of a continuous raised bead ring, consistent with the obverse. The inscription is rendered in bold, well-spaced Roman capitals.
