Obverse description Central field bearing a Persian calligraphic inscription in Naskh script, rendered in bold relief on a plain hammered flan. The legend records the name and titles of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, typical of the formula used on copper dam coinage of this reign. The script is arranged horizontally across the field within a circular border, with the surface showing characteristic irregularities of hand-struck production.

Obverse lettering شاه جهان
Reverse description Reverse field displaying the mint name and regnal information in bold Naskh script, arranged in a square or panel format within the circular flan. The inscription identifies the Bairata mint, consistent with the KM#206.2 attribution for this issue. The lettering is deeply struck with visible flat areas and flan irregularities characteristic of Mughal copper hammered coinage. No date appears on the flan, as was customary for many dam issues of Shah Jahan.
