Obverse description Broad irregular flan bearing a multi-line Arabic legend in bold relief, arranged in two or three registers divided by a horizontal line across the field. The inscription, struck in the characteristic Mughal naskh style, carries the royal titulature of Emperor Akbar. The flan edges are irregular and slightly ragged, consistent with the hammered coinage of the Urdu Zafar Qarin (imperial camp) mint. The surfaces show typical wear and a red-brown copper patina.
