| Obverse description | The obverse of this Swedish copper plate money (plåtmynt) bears five applied stamps across the flat rectangular field: a central stamp displaying the denomination '1 DALER SILF · MYNT' inscribed on three lines above a pair of crossed arrows, the traditional symbol of the Swedish mining authority. Each of the four corner stamps bears the crowned royal cypher 'FRS' (Fredericus Rex Sueciae — Frederick, King of Sweden) with the year of issue struck below. The plate itself is cast from thick copper sheet with irregular edges characteristic of Swedish plåtmynt manufacture, and the surface displays the natural texture and patina typical of large-denomination copper plate coinage of the period. |
