Tristan da Cunha, a British Overseas Territory with a population that never exceeded 300 during the First World War, had no direct military units and no meaningful administrative connection to the Western Front. Its commemorative coinage is produced entirely for the collector market by the Pobjoy Mint under license — none of it circulates on the island in any practical sense.
