Reverse description A finely detailed scene commemorating the Millennium of Tynwald, the Isle of Man's ancient parliament. In the left foreground, a full-length male figure stands facing right, depicted in 17th-century dress and holding a sword at his side, set against a rocky coastal promontory. To his right, a large fully-rigged three-masted sailing vessel is rendered in high relief upon the water, its sails furled and flags aloft. The circumferential legend MILLENNIUM OF TYNWALD arcs across the upper field, with ONE CROWN inscribed along the lower border, all enclosed within a decorative rope or cable inner border.
