| Additional information |
The Isle of Man has issued TT-themed crowns almost annually since the 1970s, making the series one of the longest-running topical coin programs from any British Crown Dependency. The 2011 release coincides with the centenary period of the Mountain Course, which first hosted racing in 1911 — a detail the Manx treasury leaned on heavily in its commemorative output around that year.
Pobjoy Mint struck the majority of Manx commemoratives through this era under contract.
