| Reverse description | The central field depicts a detailed scene of steam and sailing warships at sea, commemorating the Spithead Naval Review held during Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee in 1897. Superimposed to the right of the vessel is a large circular cameo portrait of Queen Victoria. A decorative chain border frames the left and right sides of the design.
