| Obverse description | Right-facing draped bust of Queen Elizabeth II, wearing the George IV State Diadem, a drop earring, and a pearl necklace, as sculpted by Raphael David Maklouf. The effigy is rendered in high relief against a smooth field, with fine detail in the crown's floral and foliate ornaments. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the left periphery, while ISLE OF MAN and the date 1986 arc along the right. A small PM mint mark for Pobjoy Mint appears below the truncation. The design is bordered by a continuous dentilated rim. |
