Additional information

Gibraltar's Remembrance coinage occupies an odd constitutional niche — issued by a British Overseas Territory with its own Currency Notes Act, these pieces are legal tender locally but hold no circulation status in the UK, despite bearing the British monarch's effigy. The selective black ink printing technique applied to this issue was adopted from banknote production technology, first used on coins in the early 2000s and still prone to wear at the ink-to-metal boundary under even light handling.
