| Obverse description | Right-facing draped bust of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the George IV State Diadem, pearl drop earrings, and a pearl necklace, as rendered by engraver Raphael David Maklouf. The effigy is large and boldly modelled, occupying the majority of the obverse field. The legend ELIZABETH II is positioned to the upper left, ISLE OF MAN to the upper right, and the date 1985 to the lower right, all following the coin's inner border of fine beading. The engraver's initials RDM and the mint mark PM appear in small characters at the lower reverse margin. |
