| Obverse description | Conjoined busts of HM Queen Elizabeth II and HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, both in right-facing profile, occupying the centre of the field. The Queen's effigy is rendered in greater relief and positioned in the foreground, depicted with a pearl necklace, earring, and elaborately styled hair; Prince Philip appears behind and to the right, in civilian dress. The circumferential legend reads QUEEN ELIZABETH II FALKLAND ISLANDS with the date 2017 and the mint mark PM, separated along the upper and lower periphery respectively. Designer's initials DM are visible in small relief at lower left of the effigies. |
