Obverse description Right-facing draped bust of Queen Elizabeth II, rendered after the fourth definitive effigy by Ian Rank-Broadley, wearing a diamond diadem and a pearl drop earring. The portrait is executed in fine detail with carefully modelled hair set in characteristic curls. The circumferential legend reads ELIZABETH II to the left and ISLE OF MAN to the right, with the date 2002 positioned at the lower right. The engraver's initials IRB appear at the truncation of the bust. Two small triskelion privy marks of the Isle of Man flank the legend at the upper field, and a fine toothed border frames the entire obverse.
