Obverse description The obverse features the fourth definitive right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, as modelled by Ian Rank-Broadley, depicted with a diademed and draped bust. The portrait is rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field, characteristic of proof coinage. The circumferential legend reads ELIZABETH II to the upper left and ISLE OF MAN to the upper right, with the date 2004 positioned at the lower right, all separated by the triskelion emblem of the Isle of Man. The engraver's initials IRB appear truncated beneath the portrait.
