Tristan da Cunha, a British Overseas Territory in the South Atlantic with a permanent population of roughly 250 people, issues commemorative coins largely as a revenue stream rather than for practical circulation. By 2011, Elizabeth II had surpassed George III as the second-longest-reigning British monarch, with Victoria's record still ahead — she would not claim that title until September 2015.
