Obverse description Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, diademed and draped, as engraved by Ian Rank-Broadley. The portrait, a mature and finely detailed bust, occupies the central field with the queen's hair elaborately styled beneath a jewelled tiara. The entire central scene is framed within a porthole-shaped inner border adorned with circular porthole motifs around its circumference, evoking a maritime viewing window. The denomination '1 CROWN' appears in the lower exergue beneath the vessel.
