Reverse description The central field depicts a detailed panoramic scene of Lord Nelson's funeral procession along the River Thames in January 1806, with a flotilla of ceremonial barges and rowing boats crowding the river, and the grand architecture of Greenwich Hospital rendered prominently in the background. In the left foreground, a woman in period dress holds a young child who points toward the procession, evoking the public mourning of the era. Within the lower portion of the inner circle, the inscription THE FUNERAL OF LORD NELSON appears above a facsimile of Nelson's signature. The date 1805 and the denomination ONE CROWN are inscribed in the lower exergue, while the arc legend THE BICENTENARY OF TRAFALGAR runs along the upper border. Decorative rope-and-chain motifs flank the inner circle on both sides, and the Pobjoy Mint mark (PM) appears beside the date.
