| Obverse description | Right-facing draped bust effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, engraved by Arnold Machin, wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara. The legend ISLE OF MAN arcs along the left periphery and ELIZABETH II along the right, with the date 1979 appearing in the lower field beneath the portrait. A small Pobjoy Mint privy mark is visible at the base of the truncation. The portrait is rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field, framed by a fine dentilated border. |
