Gibraltar's Crown series of the 1990s was a prolific commercial program aimed squarely at the thematic collector market, issuing dozens of designs annually under license arrangements that prioritized breadth over numismatic significance. This prehistoric hunting scene belongs to that output — one of several "ancient history" themed pieces Gibraltar struck during the period.
