Reverse description Central design depicts the Brandenburg Gate with its celebrated Quadriga sculpture — a chariot drawn by four horses crowned by the Goddess of Victory — rising above a section of the Berlin Wall shown in cross-section. The face of the wall bears graffiti motifs, barbed wire, and a spray of roses symbolising freedom and reunification, with a butterfly at right. The engraver's initials PM appear in the lower right field. The circumferential legend TWENTIETH ANNIVERSARY OF THE FALL OF THE BERLIN WALL arcs across the upper portion, while ONE CROWN appears at the base, all separated by raised dots.
