Reverse description The heraldic achievement of the College of Arms occupies the central field, depicting the quartered shield supported by a lion rampant to the left and a horse rampant to the right, surmounted by three helmets each bearing a respective crest: a bishop's mitre, a lion statant, and a horse. A scroll below the shield bears the College motto SOLA VIRTUS INVICTA in two lines. The entire composition is framed by a decorative chain-link border, with the commemorative legend QUINCENTENARY OF THE COLLEGE OF ARMS arcing across the upper field and the dates 1484 and 1984 flanking the denomination ONE CROWN along the lower periphery.
