Gibraltar has issued commemorative crowns under British authority since the 1960s, and its WWI centenary series — produced through Pobjoy Mint — covered individual battles across multiple years. Cambrai, fought in November 1917, was the first large-scale offensive use of tanks in history, with the British deploying nearly 500 Mark IV machines along a six-mile front. Church bells rang in London before the gains were largely reversed within days by a German counterattack.
