Gibraltar issued a sprawling series of crown-sized copper-nickel pieces for the 1996 Atlanta Games, parceling out individual sports across dozens of separate types — volleyball among them. The sheer volume of the series was driven by the collector and souvenir market rather than any circulation need; Gibraltar's physical size and population make large-denomination crown issues essentially commemorative by default.
