Obverse description Bare-headed effigy of King Edward VIII facing left, rendered in high relief against a deeply mirrored proof field. The portrait depicts the King with neatly styled hair and a draped collar, in a style consistent with proposed but never officially issued coinage designs. The circular legend reads EDWARD · VIII · KING · & · EMPEROR, separated by raised dots, and is contained between an inner beaded border and the raised rim.
