(Translation: Charles III. By the Grace of God. Defender of the Faith. Gibraltar.)
Reverse description The reverse faithfully reproduces the design of the historic Two Pence Blue postage stamp of 1840, rendered in deep blue color with a silver-finished central vignette. The youthful effigy of Queen Victoria faces left, her hair drawn up and pinned, set within an ornate rectangular stamp frame featuring engine-turned lozenge patterns at the sides. The inscription 'POSTAGE' appears at the top of the stamp design and 'TWO PENCE' at the base, with corner letters 'A' and 'A' visible in the lower corners, all faithfully replicating the philatelic original.
