Obverse description First laureate and draped bust of King Charles II facing right, with a laurel wreath upon his head and drapery visible at the shoulder. A rose appears below the truncation, serving as the mintmark. The royal effigy is rendered in high relief in the early Restoration milled style, with the circumferential Latin legend distributed around the periphery of the field.
