Reverse description Four crowned cruciform shields bearing the arms of England, Scotland, France, and Ireland respectively, arranged in a cross pattern around a central star of the Order of the Garter. Roses and plumes alternate in the four angles between the shields, denoting silver from the mines of Wales and the West of England. The date 1713 is divided by the uppermost shield, and the circumferential Latin legend reads MAG· BRI·FR ET·HIB REG· within a toothed milled border.
