| Reverse description | The elaborate Bavarian royal coat of arms, a crowned and quartered shield bearing the distinctive blue and white lozengy pattern of Bavaria alongside additional dynastic quarterings, is displayed centrally in the field. The shield is supported on either side by rampant lions facing inward, and a palm branch lies beneath the escutcheon at the base. A royal crown surmounts the entire achievement. The date 1806 appears in the exergue below the shield, and the patriotic legend FÜR GOTT UND VATERLAND. arcs around the upper periphery in raised Latin capitals within a milled border. |
