Obverse description Bare-headed right-facing bust of King Ludwig I of Bavaria rendered in high relief, with finely detailed wavy hair and a mustache, in the neoclassical style characteristic of engraver Carl Friedrich Voigt. The circular legend reads LUDWIG I KOENIG VON BAYERN along the upper periphery, while the weight standard inscription ZEHN EINE FEINE MARK appears along the lower periphery. The engraver's signature C. VOIGT is incised beneath the truncation of the bust. The field is smooth and lustrous, framed by a close dentilated border.
