| Obverse description | Bare-headed effigy of King Ludwig I of Bavaria in high relief, facing right, with finely detailed wavy hair and a short mustache, rendered in the neoclassical style characteristic of engraver Carl Voigt. The truncation is plain, with the engraver's signature 'C. VOIGT' incised beneath the bust. The peripheral legend reads 'LUDWIG I KOENIG VON BAYERN' along the upper arc, while the lower arc carries the fineness statement 'ZEHN EINE FEINE MARK', all in Roman capitals within a beaded border. |
