Reverse description The reverse features a finely engraved allegorical scene in the Neoclassical tradition, depicting three standing figures: on the left, a helmeted female personification of Bavaria, draped in classical robes, gestures with her right hand toward two young barefoot children standing in the centre, one of whom holds a book; on the right, a robed Benedictine monk, also gesturing, receives the children in a scene symbolising the restoration of monastic education. The date 1835 appears in the exergue below a ground line. The circular legend DEN BENEDIKTINERN WIEDER EINE LEHRANSTALT ÜBERGEBEN arcs around the upper and lateral periphery within a beaded border, commemorating the handover of a teaching institution to the Benedictine Order.
