| Reverse description | Full-length figure of King Ludwig I standing in three-quarter view facing left, clad in elaborate coronation robes with an ermine-lined mantle and richly embroidered garments. He stands beside a draped table upon which rest the royal crown and scepter. The legend TRITT DIE REGIERUNG DES LANDES AN arcs around the upper field, and the commemorative date AM 13 OCTOBER 1825 is inscribed in two lines along the lower exergue. The deeply sculpted high-relief composition is executed in the finest neoclassical tradition of the Munich mint. |
