Obverse description Bare-headed right-facing portrait bust of King Ludwig I of Bavaria occupying the central field, rendered in high relief with fine neoclassical detail by engraver Carl Friedrich Voigt, whose signature 'C. VOIGT' appears incuse beneath the truncation. The surrounding legend reads 'LUDWIG I KOENIG VON BAYERN' along the upper arc in widely spaced Latin capitals. The lower portion of the field bears the fineness inscription 'ZEHN EINE FEINE MARK', denoting ten to the fine mark, separated from the portrait by a narrow horizontal register. The entire design is framed by a finely beaded border.
