| Obverse description | Right-facing draped bust of King Frederick August I of Saxony, with long hair tied at the nape of the neck in late 18th-century style. The effigy is rendered in a classical portrait manner typical of the period. A Latin legend encircles the bust, identifying the monarch by name and title. The truncation of the bust is unadorned, and the portrait occupies the central field with the legend running close to the rim. |
