| Obverse description | Central field features the sankha (sacred conch shell), the dynastic emblem of the Travancore royal house, depicted in high relief with characteristic spiral detailing and flanking foliate scrollwork, surmounted by a stylised flame or lamp finial. The central device is enclosed within a raised inner circle, itself surrounded by a finely beaded border. The outer annulus is adorned with a continuous wreath of olive or laurel branches meeting at the base with a formal ribbon tie, all executed in a precise milled style characteristic of the Thiruvananthapuram Mint. |
