Obverse description Central field features the sankha (sacred conch shell), the dynastic emblem of the Travancore royal house, depicted in high relief with characteristic spiral detailing and flanking foliate scrollwork, surmounted by a stylised flame or lamp finial. The central device is enclosed within a raised inner circle, itself surrounded by a finely beaded border. The outer annulus is adorned with a continuous wreath of olive or laurel branches meeting at the base with a formal ribbon tie, all executed in a precise milled style characteristic of the Thiruvananthapuram Mint.
