Comments

The Northeast Kiangsi Soviet Bank operated under the Chinese Communist Party's regional Soviet government in the Jiangxi-Fujian border area during the early 1930s, one of dozens of short-lived local Soviet financial institutions issuing their own currency before the Nationalist encirclement campaigns dismantled the base areas. By late 1934, the Long March had begun and the entire regional Soviet apparatus collapsed, making any surviving paper from these institutions genuinely rare — not by design, but by circumstance.

Survival rates for Kiangsi Soviet notes are low. Most were rendered worthless overnight and discarded or destroyed when the Red Army evacuated.
