| Obverse description | The quartered coat of arms of the Principality of Andorra occupies the central field, rendered in high relief with elaborate baroque-style cartouche supporters and a scroll at the base bearing the Latin motto VIRTVS VNITA FORTIOR. The shield displays the traditional four quarters: the mitre and crozier of the Bishop of Urgell, the vertical pales of the Count of Foix, the vertical pales of Catalonia, and two bulls passant representing the Viscount of Béarn. The circular legend PRINCIPAT D'ANDORRA runs along the upper rim, while the date 2004 appears in the lower field beneath the shield. |
