| Obverse description | The quartered coat of arms of Andorra occupies the central field, featuring the traditional heraldic elements of the Principality: the mitre and crozier of the Bishop of Urgell in the upper left, the vertical stripes of the Count of Foix in the upper right, the vertical stripes of Catalonia in the lower left, and two bulls passant representing Béarn in the lower right. The shield is supported by ornate baroque-style scrollwork and bears a ribbon at its base inscribed with the motto VIRTVS VNITA FORTIOR. The legend PRINCIPAT D'ANDORRA arcs along the upper periphery, with the date 2003 positioned in the lower field beneath the shield. |
