| Obverse description | Printed in dark blue on a light pink underprint, the obverse is framed by a decorative border with classical columns at either side and foliate ornaments. The Portuguese arms appear as a central vignette at top, flanked by radiating palm fronds, beneath an arched panel bearing the issuer's title. The denomination '1 CENTAVO' is repeated in solid panels at lower left and right, with 'VALPAÇOS' at bottom center and a manuscript signature across the central text area. |
