Reverse description The denomination UN CENTAVO is inscribed in two lines across the central field, enclosed within an open wreath composed of cereal and oak branches tied at the base with a ribbon bow. The wreath branches extend upward on either side, converging at the top without closing, leaving the upper field open. A plain inner ring separates the central device from the milled outer border.

Additional information

KM#60 is classified as a mule — a coin struck from dies not intended to be paired together. Honduras contracted much of its nineteenth-century coinage to foreign mints, and mismatched die combinations occasionally entered circulation before errors were caught. Pinning down the exact mint responsible for this pairing has proven difficult; attribution remains contested among specialists.
