| Obverse description | Central design features a large downward-pointing triangle bearing a five-pointed star at its centre, a classic element of Cuban republican heraldry. The bold denomination numeral '1' appears to the left of the triangle and the abbreviation 'C.' to the right, denoting one centavo. Along the upper periphery, the legend REPUBLICA DE CUBA arcs in raised Latin capitals, flanked below by the weight and fineness specifications '2.3 G.' and '300 M.' inscribed in the upper field. The lower legend reads PATRIA Y LIBERTAD (Fatherland and Liberty), completing the patriotic motto along the coin's rim. |
