| Obverse description | Central device depicts the Honduran pyramid temple (a stylized pre-Columbian stepped pyramid with an arched doorway and a radiant sun motif at its center), set within a raised inner circle. The national legend REPUBLICA DE HONDURAS arcs around the upper periphery in bold Latin characters, separated at the base by a small decorative ornament. The overall design is rendered in low relief against a flat field, framed by a beaded border. |
