Obverse description Central field depicts a standing female figure representing the Republic, surrounded by an array of national symbols and implements including a cannon, rifles, and other martial and civic emblems, arranged in a radial composition. The legend REPUBLICA MEXICANA curves along the upper periphery in raised Latin letters, while the date appears in the lower exergual area. The design is enclosed by a beaded border running along the entire circumference. The overall style is consistent with mid-to-late 19th-century Mexican Republican coinage.
