| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Queen Victoria facing left, her hair elegantly gathered and bound with a laurel wreath, with loose curls falling at the nape of the neck. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine engraving detail characteristic of Leonard Charles Wyon's work. The circular legend surrounds the bust close to the beaded border.
